IRVING, Texas – Third-seeded Trinity University earned a 7-0 win over sixth-seeded Centenary College on Friday afternoon in game two of the 2022 SCAC Softball Championship. Tiger left fielder Jenna Kash paced the Trinity offense as she was 2-for-2 with two RBI and a walk. Cat Patterson earned the win in the circle as she tossed 6.0 innings, while scattering seven hits and striking out one. HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a double steal put runners on second and third, Trinity's Kash singled home Alexa Saucedo and Brianna Pena to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second.
- In the third, Trinity extended its lead to 3-0 on a Jessica Lloyd groundout to short that scored Sammie Whitman.
- The Tigers tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Marina Delaluna tallied an RBI double to left center to make it 4-0 before Jessica Lloyd delivered a run-scoring single to make it 5-0.
- Trinity put the game out of reach in the sixth with an RBI single from Whitman and a sac fly from Lloyd.
