HANNA KHAN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year forward from Southlake, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, October 24th through Sunday, October 30th. SCAC Women's Soccer Release (Week 9)
Khan led eighth-ranked Trinity to a pair of victories over Texas Lutheran and Southwestern over the weekend, clinching the SCAC Regular Season Championship for the Tigers. Khan scored in both Trinity wins this weekend, tallying three goals to lead the team in scoring. She scored a second-half goal to finish off Southwestern on Friday night, then notched goals in both halves of Sunday’s win against Texas Lutheran. This season, Khan is third on the Trinity team in combining 14 goals with four assists to score a total of 32 points.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior midfielder Brittany Hutton of Austin College recorded three goals last weekend, including both in the ‘Roos 2-0 win over Centenary last Friday. It marked the first victory of the 2022 campaign for Austin College. Senior forward Sydney Bascomb of Centenary scored her 10th career goal in the Ladies 1-1 draw to close out the 2022 season. Bascomb finished the year with two of her three goals coming in conference play. Sophomore midfielder Claire Reed of Dallas ended the season with a bang, scoring twice an adding an assist for five total points as the Crusaders went 1-0-1 on the week. Her goal against St. Thomas proved to be the game-winner in a, 2-1, win last Saturday. Sophomore forward Brooke Le of St. Thomas scored twice, including the game-winner and added an assist in the Celts 5-2 win over Austin College. Le also added and assist in a loss to Dallas and finished the week with six total points.
