JACOB WINCHESTER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Houston, Texas has been selected the SCAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held Monday, March 29 through Sunday, April 4.
Winchester threw two new personal bests in the javelin (53.43m) and discus (39.01m) throw at the David Noble Relays this past weekend. His mark in the javelin placed him third overall at the meet and is now the top mark in the SCAC.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Caimen McDonough of Texas Lutheran cleared 1.89m (6-2.25) at the David Noble Relays at Angelo State University to earn sixth place overall in the event. He was the only Division III athlete to place.
