MAGGIE ROBBINS OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore guard from Plano, Texas has been named the SCAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, November 8 through Sunday, November 14. (Women's Basketball Weekly Release - Week 2)

Robbins led Trinity to a 1-1 record on the road last weekend, including a narrow loss to No. 14 Hardin-Simmons and a lopsided victory over McMurry. Robbins finished with 8.5 points, 7.0 assists, and 5.5 steals per game over the weekend, shooting 66.7% (6-for-9) from the field. She began with six points, seven assists, and four steals in Friday's loss to No. 14 Hardin-Simmons. In Saturday's win over McMurry, she nearly posted a triple-double with 11 points, seven assists, and seven steals despite playing just 23 minutes of the lopsided game.


Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior forward Jazzmyn Jones of Centenary averaged 14.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game in two contests last week for the Ladies. Jones connected on 60 percent from the field, including 71.4 percent from the charity stripe. Freshman Canai McPherson of Dallas scored 26 points on 44.4 percent shooting, including 33.3 percent from beyond the arc in a tough 77-63 loss to LeTourneau last week. McPherson also added five rebounds, four assists and one steal in the loss. Senior guard Gabby Ivarra of Schreiner averaged 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game in a pair of contests last week for the Mountaineers. Freshman forward Jada Hollie of Southwestern averaged 12.3 points per game on an efficient 52.0 percent shooting while filling up the box score with 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. Hollie grabbed seven rebounds, dished out five assists, and collected three steals in a 13-point win over McMurry last Friday. Junior forward Olivia Anga of St. Thomas poured in 19 points on 58.3 percent shooting to help lift the Celts to a 75-61 win over Arlington Baptist last Friday. Anga nearly posted a double-double after grabbing nine boards and she also added two steals in the win. Freshman guard Kailee Mulkey of Texas Lutheran led the Bulldogs to a 48-39 over Concordia last week, pouring in 12 points, grabbing six rebounds and dishing out one assist and accounting for one steal.
