MEGAN FLORES AND CATE CUSHING OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, have been selected as the SCAC Women’s Doubles Team of the Week for matched played from Sunday, February 1 to Sunday, February 7.
Junior Megan Flores and freshman Cate Cushing went 2-1 as a doubles team and the Tiger women’s tennis team also went 2-1 overall during its West Texas road trip last weekend. Flores and Cushing, playing at the No. 2 doubles line, helped the Tigers to sweep the doubles against both Hardin-Simmons (8-1) and McMurry (8-2), while the only loss for the duo came in the team’s loss to Division II Angelo State University (1-6).
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Nina Elez and Nina Mitrofanova of Southwestern helped the Pirates to a 9-0 team victory last weekend against conference opponent St. Thomas. Elez and Mitrofanova, playing at the top doubles line earned a 8-7 victory.
