OLIVIA KIM OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Phoenix, Ariz., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, April 17 to Sunday, April 23. SCAC Women's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 12
Kim led the 16th-ranked Trinity women's tennis team to a 2-0 record in SCAC action last week, highlighted by a 7-2 road win over No. 20 Southwestern on Friday. Kim secured the clincher against the Pirates on Friday afternoon, winning 6-1, 7-6 at line two to give Trinity a 5-2 lead at the time.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Maddy Meister of Colorado College won both of her No. 6 singles matches last weekend in California. The sophomore defeated Reya Maestas of Cal Lutheran, 6-1, 6-4, on Saturday, then beat Ava Tyler, 6-1, 6-2, of Chapman on Sunday. Meister is 4-3 at the No. 6 position this season.
