Lee posted a 5-1 week in singles play for the 18th-ranked Pirates, which included victories on the No. 5 line against opponents from top-ranked Chicago and 29th-ranked Denison. Lee defeated Denison's Caroline Lopez, 6-1, 6-1, on Tuesday and Chicago's Miranda Yuan, 3-6, 6-3, 10-5, on Friday.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Ella Cummings of Trinity led the 15th-ranked Tiger women's tennis team to a 2-1 record last week, with the only loss coming against top-ranked University of Chicago. Cummings went 2-0 last week, earning wins in the match against Chicago and in the match against Mary Washington. In the Chicago match, Cummings earned a 6-4, 6-3 win at line six that tied the overall match 4-4. She then closed out the 6-3 win over UMW with a 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 win at line six.
