Tibbetts, a senior from Austin, Texas, and Herrera, a first-year from El Paso, Texas, picked up an 8-2 win over the Chicago pairing of Biren Reddy and Jacob Lowen at No. 3 doubles Friday's narrow 5-4 loss to the sixth-ranked Maroons.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Cal Hunter and first-year Conor Kaczmarczyk of Trinity led the 11th-ranked Tiger men's tennis team to a win over defending national champion and sixth-ranked University of Chicago last week. The doubles duo scored an 8-7 (7-3) on the No. 3 line to put Trinity ahead 2-1 after the doubles competition. Hunter and Kaczmarczyk were 1-1 overall last week with the only loss coming at the hands of NCAA I University of the Incarnate Word.
