RAVEN GARCIA OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior attacker from Georgetown, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 4 through Sunday, April 10. (Women's Lacrosse Weekly Release - Week 8)
Garcia broke the all-time career points record in Sunday's 26-2 conference victory over University of Dallas. She scored four goals and chipped in with three assists for seven points to give her 180 points for her career - passing the former mark of 174 points.
Garcia is currently one assist behind the Southwestern career assist record and three goals behind the career goals scored record.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year attacker Tobin Lonergan of Colorado College led the offensive attack with three goals, four assists and seven points during back-to-back losses at Cabrini University and Stockton University last weekend on the East Coast. The first-year attacker recorded her sixth hat trick of the season with three goals and a pair of assists during Saturday's 21-12 loss at Cabrini. The following day, she had a pair of assists in the 16-9 setback at Stockton. Lonergan leads the Tigers with 34 goals and 48 points, and is third with 13 assists.
