BLAKE SITTERLY OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore midfielder from Houston, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, March 8 through Sunday, March 14.
Sitterly, a defensive midfielder, played goalkeeper for the Pirates for the first time this weekend. The sophomore did an admirable job, recording eight saves against Carthage and 14 saves on 18 shots against MSOE.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year defender Noah Katz of Centenary had five ground balls and caused three turnovers in the Gents' 21-7 loss to Huntingdon on Friday.
