SOFIA VALDESPINO OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore goalkeeper from Pflugerville, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 15 through Sunday, March 21.
Valdespino stopped eight Viking shots and picked up six groundballs in this weekend's 13-9 win over Augustana (Ill.).
