RAVEN GARCIA OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior attacker from Georgetown, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 28 through Sunday, March 6. (Women's Lacrosse Weekly Release - Week 3)
Garcia had three goals and three assists for a game-high six points in Southwestern's 14-9 victory over Calvin on Saturday. She made three of her six shots (50.0 shot percentage) and is currently second in the SCAC in both goals scored (six) and assists (three).
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore attacker Sophia Haeuser of Dallas had five goals on seven shots and added an assist in the Crusaders' 19-10 loss to St. Mary (Kan.) on Sunday. First-year midfielder Devan Ortman of Colorado College scored a goal and added an assist in the Tigers' 19-4 loss to Pomona Pitzer on Saturday.
