Arens went 2-0 on the week, picking up come-from-behind wins at No. 6 singles against players from #30 Grinnell (2-6, 6-1, 1-0) and #15 Sewanee (1-6, 6-3, 1-0), on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Connor Whittington of Trinity led the 11th-ranked Trinity men's tennis team to a 7-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference shutout win at Concordia University (Texas) on Saturday afternoon. Whittington clinched the match at #5 singles with his 6-0, 6-0 win and the Tigers went on to sweep the remaining three singles matches to finish off the shutout.Sophomore Quince Lawler of Schreiner clinched the Mountaineer's 4-3 match victory against Howard Payne on Saturday, winning 6-4, 6-2, at No. 6 singles.
