Clemente, a first-year from Laredo, Texas, and Patel, a first-year Lewis Center, Ohio, produced the only point of the evening for the Pirates in doubles play against 13-2 Concordia (Texas), salvaging a point at the No. 2 line heading into singles play. With their hard fought 8-6 win over the Tornados' Esteban Arredondo and Joeri Bregman, Patel and Clemente led the Pirates to an eventual 6-3 victory and a 14-5 overall mark for the year.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Andrew Kaelin and sophomore Nate Beerman of Colorado College won their match at the No. 1 doubles slot against Division II Colorado Mesa last Saturday. The Tiger duo outlasted William Leschig and Henry Scheck, 7-6(6), to help CC win the doubles point. Kaelin and Beerman are 2-1 at the No. 1 spot this season.
