Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior pitcher Anna Scarbrock of Centenary started and picked up the win in the Ladies’ 7-1 victory over Arlington Baptist on Saturday in game one of a DH sweep at home. She allowed just one hit and no walks with three strikeouts. She faced 19 batters and threw 61 pitches, 41 for strikes. She received a no-decision in the second game of the Ladies’ DH on Sunday against Concordia as she pitched five innings and allowed just three earned runs and walked one. First-year pitcher Cameron Bishop of Trinity led the Tigers to a 2-1 record this week, earning a win over George Fox and splitting a doubleheader against Lewis & Clark. Bishop made two appearances last week, pitching in both of Trinity’s wins. Her top performance was her complete-game victory in which she earned a 3-1 win over Lewis & Clark. She allowed one unearned run on seven hits in her six-inning win, striking out five batters. She finished the week with an ERA of 3.00 with eight strikeouts over 7.0 innings.
