Kim, a junior from Phoenix, Ariz., and Hill, a junior from Abilene, Texas, went undefeated in doubles play as the 12th-ranked Trinity women's tennis team split matches against #15 Babson College and #3 Emory University. Hill and Kim opened the week against the 2023 NCAA Doubles Runner-up team from Babson, earning an 8-6 victory that proved critical to the team's 5-4 victory over the Beavers. The Tiger duo came back the next day and opened the match against Emory with an 8-5 win at #1 doubles that was one of just two points in the team's 7-2 defeat.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Daryl Locke and junior Erika Synoski of Southwestern were a perfect 4-0 at line one for the Pirates this week. The duo picked up non-conference victories over teams from Concordia (Texas), Hardin-Simmons and East Texas Baptist and defeated Schreiner's Hannah Reyna and Victoria Morales, 8-1, on Saturday. Senior Anamaria Gonzalez and sophomore Lucia Rodriguez of St. Thomas highlighted the Celts' weekend by taking a line one doubles win against non-conference foe Mary Hardin-Baylor. The duo were dominant in their 8-2 match victory.
