Heffron went a perfect 2-0 at the No. 2 singles line last week for the Tigers. She defeated Brooke Waite of No. 28 Chapman, 6-4, 6-1, then beat Fatima Nemi of Cal Lutheran, 6-1, 6-2.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Trinity Levy of Trinity finished with a 2-2 record in singles this week, helping the 16th-ranked Tigers to a 2-2 record of its own. Playing against four teams ranked nationally, the Tigers lost only to #2 Chicago and #5 Wesleyan (CT). Levy opened with a 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) defeat against Chicago early in the week, then bounced back with straight-set wins against #31 Skidmore and #22 Swarthmore. She finished with a hard-fought 7-6 (7-2), 1-6, 0-1 (3-10) loss against Wesleyan.
