Junior pitcher Anna Scarbrock of Centenary picked up the win in the circle for the Ladies in their 2-1 walk off win over Millsaps on Sunday at home. Scarbrock entered the game in the sixth as a reliever and allowed no runs on just two hits with a strikeout and no walks. She faced 10 batters and threw 23 pitches - 19 for strikes to improve to 3-4 on the season. She also pitched well in game one of a DH on Saturday against the Majors as she went seven innings and allowed just one earned run with two walks and one strikeout. First-year pitcher Victora Sossaman of St. Thomas continues her impressive start to her career collecting two more wins in the circle last week to lift the Celts to an SCAC opening three-game sweep of Austin College. Sossaman tossed two complete games, striking out 10 batters in 12 innings of work, while scattering 12 hits and allowing just four earned runs to post a 2.33 ERA. Sossaman continues to lead the SCAC in strikeouts with her yearly total up to 54.
