KIONA HSIU OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Missouri City, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through Tuesday, February 9.
Hsiu, along with teammate Caterina Mora Adrover, both shot 158 over 36 holes to finish in a tie for third place at the Trinity University Alamo City Classic. After a first-round 81, Hsiu tied the team low for the tournament with a score of 77 on Tuesday. The Tiger teammates had three birdies each in the tournament, as well as shooting par on 16 of the 36 holes.

Freshman Trinity Le of St. Thomas shot a second-round 78 - the fifth lowest score of the day - and ended the tournament with a score of 162, placing her 11th overall to lead the Celts at the Alamo City Classic. Senior Katelyn Smith of Schreiner paced the Mountaineers with a 174 (92-82) to finish in a tie for 17th at the Alamo City Classic. Freshman Clair Kirby of Dallas led the Crusaders with a two-day total of 187 (95-92) at the Alamo City Classic. Freshman Audra Garza of Texas Lutheran shot rounds of 102 and 94 to finish at 196 and in 24th place in the 31-person field.
