EMMA HAGAN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Overland Park, Kan., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam Monday, November 15 to Sunday, November 21. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 6)
Hagan won three individual events this weekend at the Tiger Invite: the 50 free (23.74), 100 free (51.41), and 200 free (1:52.47). The sophomore earned an NCAA 'B' cut in the 100 freestyle. Additionally, she raced to a 58.00 in the 100 fly in prelims. Hagan was also crucial to all four relays, anchoring the winning 200 freestyle relay in 23.21 as the quartet earned an NCAA 'B' cut time of 1:35.35. On the school record setting 400 medley relay (3:52.42) she brought the team home in 51.01. The team set a school record in the 200 medley relay (1:45.67) with the help of Hagan's 23.31 anchor leg. The Tigers ended the weekend with an NCAA 'B' cut time of 3:29.35 in the 400 free relay with a 51.26 anchor leg from Hagan.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Gina Lynch of Colorado College had big drops for season best times in the 400 IM (4:50.47), 200 back (2:10.92) and 200 IM (2:12.81) at the Wabash College Invitational. She was also instrumental to the Tigers' freestyle relays. Senior Kristina Sullivan of McMurry set personal best time in the 1650 free in 19:07.24 (sixth place), and set a personal-best in the 500 free in 5:29.26 to finish 13th.
