APRIL KWAN OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior from Weston, Mass., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 25 through Sunday, March 31. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 5
Kwan tied her PR in the high jump with a leap of 5' 2 3/4" for a sixth place finish at the Chuck Haering Classic in Pueblo. She is currently ranked first in the conference and tied for 19th in the nation in the event. Kwan also posted a season-best in the long jump at 15' 6 1/2", which is currently tied for eighth in the conference.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Kate Ballengee of Trinity set a new personal best in the hammer throw at the Bobcat Invitational with a a throw of 40.57 meters. She now ranks fourth in the SCAC in the event.
