ELLIOT SINGER OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a first-year runner from San Francisco, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ran Monday, October 11 through Sunday, October 17. SCAC Cross Country Release (Week 7)

Singer placed seventh individually at the Augustana (Ill.) Interregional in 22:01 for the 6k course - the fastest time for a first-year in program history. The field featured six teams ranked in the top 16 of DIII.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Abby Blackwood of Trinity paced the Tigers to a top-25 individual finish and eighth on the team leaderboard at the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday. The reigning SCAC Newcomer of the Year logged a 23:19.9 in the 6k event despite wet, slow conditions on the course. Senior Sarah Endres of Schreiner finished fourth overall at the Bill Libby Invitational with a new school record time of 24:13. She led all SCAC runners at this highly publicized annual event. First-year Alyssa Harris of Dallas ran a 25:54.7 at the Bill Libby Invitational hosted by McMurry University, placing 16th overall. First-year Kristin Lucero of Texas Lutheran was the first finisher for the Bulldogs for the second straight meet, crossing the finish line in 32nd place - amongst a field full of Division-I runners at the Canisius Alumni Classic. The freshman ran the 5K course in 20:35.4.
