Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophmore infielder Marley Carrizales of Schreiner went 6-for-16 (.375) with three runs driven in and four runs scored over her team's first five games. Junior outfielder Sam Martinez of Southwestern posted a .667 slugging percentage in the Pirates' two games against Pacific Lutheran. The freshman hit 3-for-6 with two RBIs, and one run scored. First-year third baseman/catcher Jessica Lloyd of Trinity hit .385 in four games this weekend and blasted her first career homerun in the first game of the Pacific Lutheran game. In 13 at-bats, Lloyd only struck out once. The rookie also scored two runs.
