LUIS GREEN OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior forward from Monterrey, Mexico, has been named the SCAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, October 24th through Sunday, October 31st. SCAC Men's Soccer Release (Week 9)
 

Green capped his career with a stellar weekend scoring 6 goals and tallying 13 points total including a 5 goal, 1 assist performance against Austin College - setting new TLU records for goals in a match and points in a match (11). The five goals are tied for second most in a match in SCAC history. Green finishes his career tied for 10th all-time in Division-III men’s soccer history in goals scored (81).

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:

Sophomore forward Caleb Allen of Southwestern scored three of the four Pirates’ goal in a pair of win last weekend over Austin College and Dallas. The two wins and six points proved crucial as Southwestern finished second in the SCAC standings heading into the conference tournament. Sophomore forward Daniel Castro of St. Thomas scored a hat trick on five shots in the Celts 7-2 win over Centenary to close out the regular season and secure the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament.
