SYDNEY OUELLETTE OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore right-hander from Corpus Christi, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 21 through Sunday, February 27. SCAC Softball Release - Week 4
Ouellette threw a complete game shutout last Friday in the second game of Texas Lutheran's double header against Babson College, striking out three batters and allowing four hits in seven innings of work. Ouellette also had five assists from the circle defensively as the Bulldogs earn a tight 1-0 victory.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Kaedyn Filburn of Schreiner made two appearances last week in the circle for the Mountaineers, throwing six innings and striking out three. She allowed nine hits and six earned runs, while posting a 7.00 ERA. Junior Emery Boettcher of Trinity tossed 10.1 innings last weekend, allowing 10 earned runs. She struck out two and gave up 16 hits.
