MASON GOUDEAU OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore outfielder from Liberty, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Hitter of the Week for games played from Monday, February 26 through Sunday, March 3. SCAC Baseball Release - Week 4
Goudeau hit .615 over four games including three extra base hits (one double, one triple and one home run) and three stolen bases as the Bulldogs went 3-1 over the weekend. He also had five runs scored and drove in five.
Goudeau, who is currently riding a six-game hitting streak, went 4-for-4 in game one against Castleton and started the weekend with five straight hits.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior infielder Christian Holloway of Trinity batted .357 (5-for-14) with three doubles and a home run to help the No. 19 Tigers split a four-game series with 22nd-ranked UW-Whitewater over the weekend. Holloway had a hit in every game, highlighted by a 2-for-3 performance with three RBI in the first Tiger win on Saturday. He had a double to tie the game in his first at-bat, then launched a two-run homer to tie things up again in his next plate appearance.
