CASEY MARTIN OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior second baseman from Pearland, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Hitter-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 21 through Sunday, February 27. SCAC Softball Release - Week 4
Martin maintained a perfect 1.000 batting average as the Bulldogs swept Babson College in a doubleheader last Friday. She went five-for-five at the plate, scored three runs, walked three times, and stole a pair of bases. Martin is now the SCAC leader in Batting average (.647) and OBP (.714).
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore outfielder Danielle Pedraza of Schreiner went 4-for-8 at the plate last week with two home runs and four RBI. She scored a pair of runs, posted and on-base percentage of .556 and slugged 1.250. First-year catcher Jessica Lloyd of Trinity went 3-for-6 at the plate with two doubles in a two-game series against Babson College last weekend.
