WESTON GEIGER OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Shiner, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, February 28 through Sunday, March 6. (SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 1)
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Casey Hampton of Trinity jumped a new personal best in the long jump at the Trinity Invite. His mark of 7.13m placed him second in the conference and the country. Sophomore Adrian Washington of Southwestern set a new school record in the high jump (2.00m), leading all SCAC participants with a second-place finish. First-year Bryce McIntyre of St. Thomas placed third overall at the Trinity Invite with a jump of 23.0 feet. First-year Ernest Reyna of Schreiner set new school records in both the javelin (31.47m) and the discus (31.16m).
