AMANDA WHITE OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior right-hander from Lockhart, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Co-Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 21 through Sunday, April 27. SCAC Softball Release - Week 12

White shared the honor this week with Victoria Sossaman of University of St. Thomas.

White posted a 0.00 ERA over three appearances this weekend as she went 2-0 in her starts and earned a save in the Bulldogs' sweep of McMurry. In 15.2 innings of work, White scattered just nine hits, while striking out nine without allowing a single earned run. For the week, White posted a .96 WHIP to go along with her perfect ERA.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore right-hander Victoria Sossaman of St. Thomas as lights out in the circle this week, earning two wins in two starts. She threw 15.0 innings, struck out 10, and walked just one, finishing with a 1.40 ERA and an impressive 0.80 WHIP. Opponents hit just .196 against her as the Celts locked up the No. 2 seed in the upcoming SCAC tournament with their three game sweep of Trinity. Senior right-hander Alexus Johnson of Austin College wrapped up her career with a season-best performance in the circle, getting a complete game, shutout victory over Ozarks while allowing only three hits and striking out five batters with no walks in an 8-0 win. Johnson was also lights out at the plate, batting .875 with three RBI, three runs, and two triples. Sophomore right-hander Kylie Kirk of Concordia (Texas) set the tone in the circle in game one of a series sweep over Southwestern. The sophomore was only two outs away from posting her second straight no-hitter in back-to-back starts. Kirk struck out a pair of batters and only walked three in the 11-0 victory. Junior right-hander Alexis Roach of Centenary tossed a complete-game shutout on Sunday as the Ladies blanked Schreiner 5-0 in Centenary's regular-season finale in Kerrville, Texas. The junior allowed just one hit with three strikeouts as she needed just 49 pitches (29 strikes) to finish off the Mountaineers. Roach now has seven CG's in her career and three shutouts. First-year right-hander Jordan Hodges of Ozarks tossed a four-hit shutout to give the Eagles a season-ending 2-0 win over Austin College. Hodges issued just one walk and induced two double plays during her outing, with the final double play coming in the bottom of the seventh to keep Austin off the board.
