Steger
 collected 136 assists (9.07 assists per set) in the Tigers' four matches at the Pikes Peak Challenge, including a career-high 52 in the five-set upset victory over #11 Transylvania. She also had 36 digs and nine kills (.250 hitting percentage) on the weekend. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior setter Annika Flora of Southwestern racked up 66 assists in three games for a Pirate team that totaled 151 kills over that span (a conference-leading 13.73 per set). Flora tied her career high for assists in a match with 31 in the season-opener against Aurora (Ill.). For the three-game span, she averaged 6.00 assists per set, and added thirty-one total digs (2.82 per set). Junior setter Jozie Dhayer of Trinity led the eighth-ranked Tiger volleyball team to a 3-0 record in this weekend's season-opening Trinity Fall Classic tournament. Dhayer piled up 63 assists (5.25 per set) as a 6-2 setter over the weekend, adding three service aces and 23 digs (1.92 per set) to her stat line. She led the Tigers to a .267 team hitting percentage for the weekend, including a .398 average to start the year against SUNY Cortland, and a .299 clip in a 3-2 win over East Texas Baptist University. In that win over ETBU, Dhayer produced a double-double of 31 assists and 10 digs, posting a new career-high for assists. Senior setter Brianne Tseng of Austin College had a strong start to her senior campaign, leading the 'Roos in assists as AC went 3-1 over the weekend. Tseng averaged 5.0 assists-per-set, totaling 75 in four matches in the 'Roos 6-2 rotation. Tseng had better than 20 assists twice, with a high of 23 against Wisconsin-Superior, and also added 1.93 digs-per-set, three service aces, and six kills with a .417 attacking percentage. Senior setter Julia Chew of Texas Lutheran averaged 4.92 assists per set as the Bulldogs opened the 2024 campaign at the Trinity Fall Classic. She had 25 assists in TLU's 3-2 victory over Saint Benedict. Junior setter Carli Colbert of McMurry led the team with 4.31 assists per set and posted a triple-double (11 kills, 20 assists, 16 digs) in team's season opener against Wisconsin-Superior. Colbert also averaged 1.85 kills and 3.15 digs as the War Hawks posted a 2-2 opening weekend.
